Researchers for researchers: Gerda Henkel Foundation announces Gerda Henkel Prize 2014
The Gerda Henkel Foundation invites scholars to nominate outstanding fellow researchers for the Gerda Henkel Prize 2014. The deadline is 31 January 2014 for the Foundation’s administrative office to receive nominations for research scholars in the areas of Archaeology, Art History, Historical Islamic Studies, History, History of Law, History of Science, and Prehistory and Early History. Proposals from the areas covered by the Gerda Henkel Foundation special programmes “Islam, the Modern Nation State and Transnational Movements” and “Security, Society and the State” are likewise welcome. The Gerda Henkel Prize is worth 100,000 euros and is awarded every other year. The award ceremony will take place on 13 October 2014 in Düsseldorf.
